🔐 How to Bind Device (New Method)
  1. Install child app on child's device
  2. Open the app and tap "Login & Bind Device"
  3. Enter YOUR parent account email and password
  4. Device is automatically bound to your account!
  5. Grant consent when prompted
  6. Grant all permissions
  7. Start monitoring - that's it!
⚠️ Breaking Changes
  • All existing devices must be rebound using new login method
  • Old QR codes and pairing codes no longer work
  • Parent app is no longer needed (use web dashboard)
  • Database schema has changed - see deployment guide

Download Both Apps

Download the Child App for your child's device and Parent App for your phone.

Enable Unknown Sources

On both devices: Settings → Security → Install unknown apps and enable for your browser.

Install Child App

Install the Child App on your child's device and open it.

Login with Parent Account

On child's device, tap "Login & Bind Device" and enter YOUR parent email and password.

Grant Permissions

Allow all requested permissions on the child's device for full monitoring functionality.

Start Monitoring

Device is now bound! Check your web dashboard to see the device and start monitoring.

🛡️ Google Play Protect Warning - How to Install

⚠️ Why am I seeing a warning?

Google Play Protect blocks apps not from the Play Store. This is normal and expected. Our app is safe, signed with a production certificate, and contains no malware. The warning appears because we're not yet published on the Play Store (coming soon!).

Play Protect Warning

When you see "App blocked by Play Protect", tap "More details"

Install Anyway

Tap "Install anyway" button at the bottom of the screen.

Grant Permissions

Allow all permissions when prompted. These are needed for monitoring features.

Complete Setup

Follow the in-app setup wizard to complete installation.

🎯 Alternative: Disable Play Protect Temporarily

If you prefer, you can temporarily disable Play Protect:

  1. Open Google Play Store
  2. Tap your profile icon (top right)
  3. Go to "Play Protect"
  4. Tap the settings gear icon
  5. Turn OFF "Scan apps with Play Protect"
  6. Install the app
  7. Turn Play Protect back ON (recommended)
